Frequently Asked Questions

How do I know if it's the right time to get help?

Many families wait until a crisis to reach out, but support can be helpful much earlier. We can talk through your situation and help you figure out what makes sense—no pressure, just guidance from an experience geriatric care manager.

What kind of support do you actually provide?

I help families navigate care options, answer questions, and create a plan tailored to your loved one’s needs—whether you’re just starting to explore or already feeling overwhelmed by dementia or aging-related concerns.

I’m not sure we can afford extra help—will this cost us anything?

I know cost is a big concern for many families.

An initial phone call to talk through your situation and see if we’re a good fit is always free. If we decide to move forward, we’ll schedule an initial consultation, and the first 30 minutes of that consultation is also free.

If additional time is needed beyond the first 30 minutes, I’ll clearly explain any costs upfront so there are no surprises. There’s no pressure, and I’ll work with you to find an approach that feels right for you and your loved one.

I feel guilty even thinking about getting outside help. Shouldn’t I be able to handle this on my own?

You’re not alone in feeling this way—but getting support doesn’t mean you’re not doing enough. In fact, it often brings more peace of mind for everyone involved — especially for family caregivers.

What happens after the consultation? Will I be pressured to sign up for something?

Absolutely not. The call is about understanding your situation and offering helpful advice. Whether you work with me now, later, or not at all, you’ll leave with more clarity.

I will provide you with a Fee Schedule and Services Agreement before the start of any services.

This Work Is Personal to Me

I’ve been working in eldercare, healthcare, and mental health for over four decades, and in that time, I’ve supported many families through difficult transitions. But it was my own experience caring for my father with Alzheimer’s that gave me a deeper appreciation for just how emotional and complicated this journey can be. I get how heavy it can feel—trying to make the right choices, juggle responsibilities, and still care for yourself in the process while managing aging life care decisions.

That’s why I approach this work with both expertise and heart. I’m here to listen first, help you understand your options, and give you honest, compassionate guidance without pressure.

Whether you're just beginning to notice changes in a loved one or already feeling in over your head, you don't have to figure it out alone. I'm here to help you move forward with clarity and confidence.
